Jean Claude Blaise
President, Co-Founder
Born in the first black independent nation, Haiti, Mr. Jean-Claude Blaise is a
proud native of the Cité de l’Indépendance. At a very young age, Mr. Blaise has
been involved in community activities and leadership especially at his church
where he helped organize an Association of Young Seventh-day Adventists of
his hometown, Gonaives (AVJAG). His enthusiasm and his devotion to
community activism led him to the Adventist Institute of Diquini to finish up with
his secondary studies.
Soon after, he traveled to United States of America where he met his purpose in
life. Through the years to come, he has worked in order to support himself and
his family left behind. He entered Brooklyn College, City University of New York
where he obtained a dual major in French and Spanish. He received his M.S.
Ed. (Master’s degree in Science of Education) and an Advanced Certificate in
Guidance and Counseling at the same institution.
Mr. Blaise has taught ESL, French, and Spanish in the New York Public
Schools. He has translated numerous documents into the Haitian-Creole
language for New York City Board of Education. He is currently working as
Guidance Counselor at Canarsie High School. He is happily married to
